You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuación verá imágenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un párrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el país al

New York is a big city in the

United States; it is also know
as “the Big Apple”. New York
is considered “the capital of
the world”. The city is located
on one of the largest natural
harbors. In the picture you
can see the Statue of Liberty,
it was a gift from the people
form France to the people of
USA. It is located in Liberty
Island.

Sydney is a city located in
Australia; it is also know as
“Esmerald City”. Sydney is the
most bigger and poblated city if
Australia. The city is the capital

is a fountain whose main
attraction is centered on the
interaction of sculpture with
water. The fountain is located in

Oahu is an island located in the
United States, more specifically
in the state of Hawaii. It is the
most populous island in Hawaii
and in its interior it has the state
capital, the city of Honolulu, with
different tourist attractions and a
large population. One of its main
attractions is the natural harbor
of Pearl Harbor, a big militar
complex surrounded by a lagoon
whose main attraction is that of
being a naval base of the United
States Navy, which received one
of the most remembered attacks
at the beginning of the Second
World War by the empire
Japanese. To get to this places
you must use a bridge known as
Ford Island Bridge or by boats.
 Istanbul formely known as
Byzantium and Costantinople, is
the most populous city in Turkey.
This city is the country’s
economic, cultural and historic
center. It is located in the
transcontinental Eurasian
country of Turkey. In this
country, especify in the city of
Istanbul is located the Rumeli
Hisari Castle, this is a castle that
was erected by Mehmed The
Conqueror. This castle was a
fortress that served for the
Ottomans to prevent the
passage of the Byzantine fleet
through the strait. In this
