Mode of Service Completeness
1. Personal service Actual Delivery to party or an
authorized representative or
leaving a copy in the residence,
office or place of business.
2. Ordinary mail Upon expiration of 10 days after
mailing unless otherwise provided
for by the court
3. Registered mail  Actual receipt by the
addressee; or
 After 5 days from date he
receives the first notice of
the post-master which ever
is earlier
4. Accredited Actual receipt by the addressee;
courier  After at least 2 attempts to
deliver by the courier
service or
 Expiration of 5 days after
first attempt to deliver
which ever is earlier
5. Electronic  Sending an e-mail to the
service party’s or counsel’s
electronic mail address or
 Through other electronic
means of transmission as
the parties may agree on or
