1.) Install the prolific drivers 1.

7 (Make sure the programmer is disconnected from

USB)
2.) After prolific drivers are installed connect the programmer to the PC USB
3.) Check on the device manager which COMx port the prolific driver is installed.
Take note of that.
3.) Install the PIC+PRO program.
4.) Check the 'programmer' and 'port' option on the software's file menu is set as
'K150' and '(whichever COMx port the prolific driver is installed)'
respectively.
5.) The software should be able to detect the K150 programmer if configured
correctly.
6.) Close the PIC+PRO program.
7.) Copy and paste the contents of folder DIYpack25ep to the PICPRO installation
folder.
8.) Choose YES when prompted to overwrite.
9.) Look for the file 'MICROBRN'. Use that to open the PIC + PRO application. The
MICROBRN file uses the upgrades the old default program 'MICROPRO' doesn't.
Take note to open 'MICROBRN' not 'MICROPRO'.
10.) You are all set.
