L.Gan

L.Gan is one of the inhabited islands of Haddhunmathi Atoll, administrative code Laamu and the
proposed capital for the Mathi-Dhekunu Province of the Maldives. The island is 249.93 km (155 mi;
135 nmi) south of the country's capital, Malé. Gan is connected with Maandhoo, the island at its
south. Maandhoo is linked with the regional domestic airport at Kadhdhoo by a short causeway.
Kadhdhoo adjoins at its south with Fonadhoo, the capital of the atoll. The causeway, which links
between Kadhdhoo and Fonadhoo,is almost one kilometre in length. The four islands of Gan,
Maandhoo, Kadhdhoo and Fonadhoo, which is linked with causeways, stretches up to about 18 km
(11 mi) in length, making up the longest length of dry land in the Maldives. Its area is about 595.60.
(ha). It includes a jetty. Gan is the most developed island in the Laamu Atoll.

The island is 429.63 km (267 mi; 232 nmi) south of the country's capital and it is administrated by
Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. The island includes Jetty hospitals and schools. The island’s population is about
1502(2014) including foreigners. It area is about 25.20(Ha). The island mainly consist of residential
areas public infrastructure and commercial buildings. It includes a Jetty.

Th.Thimarafushi

The island of Thimarafushi is one of the inhabited islands of the Maldives. Distance to Malé 221.45
km (137.60 mi) it’s total area is about 0.62 km2 (62 Ha). Islnads total population is 1,190 (including
foreigners) (2014). The island mainly consist of residential areas public infrastructure and
commercial buildings. It includes a Jetty.

ANNEX- A
The island is 205.86 km (128 mi; 111 nmi) south of the country's capital, Malé. Guraidhoo is an
inhabited island in the south of Male, Maldives. In 2014 the government had more than 60 ha (150
acres) of land reclaimed from the western side of the island. The island can be described as a
trading point to the other islands in the atoll. The infrastructure and development in the island is an
example for other islands of the Maldives. The island's port is well built and it is a transit point to
many boats coming and going from Male’. Its population is 1,570 (including foreigners).
