HELLISH DOUBT

Things understood by one, eludes the rest of humanity

For there is a message we ought to hear, one that is made, for each and none to understand

A fool says there is no God but is this blindness that doesn't end?

Making a fool out of our search, scoffing at our fences and intellect

Making us suffer in despair making our thirst unquenchable to bear

Is it so the nature of universe to kill us softly with its atoms as dust we are and dust we'll be

Or is there something else beyond, an infinite worth seeking out

Eternal love that shall abound, total forgiveness that knows no bounds

I know no truth as of right now, but I will seek with all my heart, closing my mind with a graceful bow

I'll cling on to that essence of which I can say nothing about

For it is there I can sense it, calling me out amidst the doubt

I send you out as sheep amidst the wolves, oh what a lost sheep I am!

Hoping to be found, shepherded by something I can’t describe

For it is not a thing nor a being nor anything that my mouth can utter petty words about

But in the end I hope for hope

Hope that my seeking comes to an end, an end so great that I am saved, from the empty void of hell

Hope that my doubt leads me squarely, to the truth that shall enlighten me deeply

Hope in my struggle I find purpose, in my struggles I find God

In him I will find peace, one that will cradle me in this life, holding me up and showing my light

On that blessed day I will scream, with all the energy I can muster...

I am saved by God who loves me dearly, I see his face and hear his voice so goddamn clearly

From the desert he picked me out, as he had made from barren wombs

From emptiness I come as full from the assurance of what is promised me

I walk from darkness in to the light based on something I hold fast

From my seeking it shall arise for it is given, not found with eyes

I shall not boast for it’s not mine, but leap in joy with all my might

Force my mouth to word it out, only one word comes to my mind

Faith.
