MUN PRE-CONFERENCE CHECKLIST

Going to your first conference can be daunting and not knowing what to bring doesn’t help.

Here is a list of everything you should make sure to remember to bring to your MUN

conference:

1. Printed out copy of your position paper

2. A laptop computer (if you have one. It is used to write resolution papers and take notes)

3. A computer charger

4. A notebook/loose-leaf paper and a pen (to pass notes to other delegates)

5. A highlighter (I find it useful to highlight different parts of my speech while in the conference

to make speaking at the podium easier)

6. A bottle of water

7. A professional looking bag or backpack to store your items (it does not have to be fancy, but

this is an academic event so it should look presentable)

8. Business casual clothing (see the MUN Instagram for examples of what delegates wore in

past years)

9. Your phone

10. Optional: pocket money (there will be options to buy snacks, but, lunch is provided for free)

11. Optional: a snack (it is a long day and you may want something to eat on the bus or during a

break)
