Activity
1. Appropriate arrangement and approval for conveying concrete (Chutes,
pump, manual) shall be obtained from client.
2. Cranes, concrete bucket, pumps, chute, shovel and manual methods will be
used as per the elevation’ quantity of concrete and to suit the site condition
towards conveying and spreading concrete.
3. Concrete shall be delivered to site within 75 minutes after the introduction

7. Each layer shall be compacted so as to avoid the formation of construction


joint with the previous layer which has not taken initial settlement.
8. Concrete cover to maintain as per drawings during casting operation.
9. Concrete temperature shall be maintained below 30° C at the time of pour.
10. Adequate illuminations shall be provided during night concreting.
11. Concrete temperature shall not exceed 30° C at the time of placing and
during hot weather the forms shall be shaded and sprayed with water. To
prevent the premature drying of concrete it shall be covered with polythene
and reflective sheets.
12. During hot weather pouring will be carried out in such a way that there will
be no formation of cold joint. If concreting activities are carried out during
night time adequate illumination shall be provided. Concrete shall be
placed in shallow layers enough to assure vibration well into the layers
below and the elapsed time between the layers be minimized to avoid
cold joints.

Emergency FIRE – When a fire occur, take the following action:


Procedures 1. Evacuate immediately at the closest exit.
2. When leaving the building, close all windows and doors. This will stop the
spread of fire.
3. If you encounter smoke, drop down to the floor and stay low until you
reach the exit.
4. When evacuating the building, always use the stairs, never use the
elevator, because power could be lost, trapping you on the floor of the fire.
5. If physically impaired, know your places of refuge. Please list places of
refuge for Physically Impaired personnel.
6. Meet a designated area, which should be at least 50 feet from building. Fill
in designated assembly area.

ACCIDENT – when an accident occur, take the following action:


1. Call emergency hotline immediately
2. Avoid leaving injured person(s) except to summon help.
3. Do not move the injured person(s).
4. Render First aid or CPR if you are trained and feel comfortable doing so.
5. Protect yourself before and after rendering assistance.
