NARRATIVE REPORT
‘On August 17, 2020, Mrs. Doris M. Valencia, the principal of Loreto National
High School, reminds the teaching force of the school and select parents about the
Dry Run schedule of the distribution and retrieval of modules in preparation for
modular classes,
The dry run schedule took place in August 18, 2020 near the municipal
gymnasium which is one of the several chosen kiosks.
Teachers, nurse, and parents gather in the said venue bringing things and
materials needed for the rehearsal. To observe health protocols required by the IATF,
the attending participants carefully took attention in social distancing as indispensably
demanded by the authorities in cases like large crowd gathering as this. Participants
also used alcohol for disinfection and foot bath. They also washed their hands before.
and after distributing or receiving the materials.
Since there were only few parents who attended the dry run, the event took
only 30 minutes to finish, of which we only used one kiosk and is not too distant from
the school. The time might have changed if there were several attending parents and
a far kiosk is regarded as the dry run venue,
Patience, understanding, and teamwork were depicted in the scenario. One
should be patient enough, especially those parents who would wait several minutes
before they could receive the materials. Others also should understand that some
things are not going to work the way things they were. Sometimes, doing things better
not in your comfort zone requires understanding. Lastly, cooperation among teachers
and parents makes all these instances an easy job and would eventually lead to
success,
Generally, the dry run activity became successful and the participants now had
had an idea of what to do in the real scenario.

scenes.
Upon the delivery of the modules in the area, the school personnel and
attending parents had to undergo a health protocol requirement. Parents disinfect
themselves through hand wash, foot bath and alcohol.
In the assigned area where parents stay, the teacher called them alphabetically
to distribute the module after its disinfection. The parents then received the module of
their sons or daughters and brought it to their home. In the actual scenario, the teacher
will distribute the materials on the first day of the week and retrieve it on the last day.
But during the dry run schedule, the distribution took place in the morning of the said
date while the retrieval took place in the afternoon
v- FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
There were no reported lapses in the side of the parents and teachers. The only
problem that is visible in the scenario was the implementation of health protocols
where parents inevitably talk to others not observing social distance. Aside from that,
no other negative actions were seen.
Lastly, the conduct of dry run was successful. Therefore, Loreto National High
School is now ready for the opening of classes and is consistently inclined for
supplementation in the new normal education.
