MARK-E-DELISH

Parichay 2020

Hey famm! What’s cooking?

The task at hand is to develop a full-fledged restaurant menu on the basis of the insights
generated through primary research (put on your curious caps!). The menu must include
atleast :
1. Three dishes with a description ( get our mouths watering, already!!)
Brownie points for innovative dishes and names
2. Suitable prices (show me your money)
3. Name of the restaurant
The team can take creative liberty to add whatever else they deem appropriate. The menu
can be digital or handmade. (We prefer digital, the more realistic it looks, the more your
audience can swoon over it)

Task specifics :
1. Group size : 12 students
2. Each group to be further divided into two sub groups. (eg. Group 1 : 1A and 1B)
3. Each group will be paired with another group.
4. Each group will be given 10 minutes for role definition
Suggested roles include –
A. Poster designer (2 at most) – can start working as soon as the task starts
B. Interviewers (5 at least)
C. Interviewees (5 at least)
5. As the task begins, each subgroup A will stay back and pose questions to the
members of subgroup B of the paired group. A judge will be present with each group
to guide them on the kind of questions that can be asked (Scaffolding folks, nobody
gets to work for Nielsen on day 1). This will be a 15 (+3 buffer) minutes activity. Post
which the subgroup B will join the subgroup A.
6. Each team of 12 participants will now work on the insights gathered to design and
deliver a menu incorporating at least the aforementioned information. This will be a
35 minutes activity.
7. These 50 minutes of research and discussion will be followed by 10 minutes of
feedback.
8. Mail your final menu (and the dishes prepared with utmost precaution) to us at
mrcell@iift.edu with the subject and document name being Mark-e-Delish_Group
No.

Judgment criteria (drum rolls) :

1. Kind of questions asked
2. Innovation and Creativity (dish specific)
3. Overall menu
