1. The download is a zip-compressed folder that you need to save to your hard disk.
2. Unzip the compressed file in a folder on your hard disk.

1. Each folder (e.g. for 3D models) contains an Excel/CSV file.
2. This Excel table indicates which 3D model belongs to which part.
3. The same principle is applied to virtually all other data types.
4. You can use the Excel tables (or "Referencing lists") in order to import the 3D models into your engineering
system, for example. Virtually all modern systems can read in files via referencing systems. Refer to the help for
your CAE/CAD system for further information if required.

Set up folder for individual manuals

Prepare a personal library
Your personal library will now be displayed. You can set up a new
folder in this library. Each folder corresponds to a manual that you
have created yourself.
Tip:
You will find the compilation process easier if you set up a "parent
folder" in which you can collect all the manuals you need before you
start to compile your own manual.

Search and find the required information
1. Search for manuals or operating instructions
Now start your search for manuals or operating

instructions. Please refer to chapter:
Support Portal – Searching and filtering
2. Select a manual
Select the manuals you require by checking the box in

front of the entry.
Important:
Some manuals may only be available in PDF format.
Manuals in PDF format cannot be used in
MyDocumentationManager.

Collect Manuals

1. Click on Actions
2. Select "Add to mySupport documentation"
Click on the menu item. A dialog is displayed in which

you can select the parent folder.
3. First select your parent folder
Select your parent folder. The currently selected

entry is always highlighted in red.
4. Confirm with "OK"

Then either return to mySupport documentation, or continue searching in
the portal for further documents that you wish to incorporate in your own
documentation.

Select "Documentation"
Now return to the Documentation page and continue configuring your

own personal library. The documents you have collected are now
displayed in your parent folder and you can navigate through individual
chapters. The content of the chapter is displayed on the right.

Create your own manual and structure
Now set up a new folder. This will become your own manual.
You can create as many folders and subfolders as you wish. In this
way, you can freely create a structure for your manual.
Moving folders and multiple languages
You can move and rearrange folders via drag & drop with the
mouse.
If you want the manual to be available in another language, you

can specify further languages when you enter the folder name.
English or Spanish for example.

Now search through your collection of

documents to find the chapters that you
want to include in your own manual.
2. Copy the source chapter 3. Paste a chapter into your own manual

Once you have finished compiling the chapters for your manual, you
can create the export file. To do this, click on the red arrow and then
select Create export.

the best choice for users who wish to process content further.

Specify the language in which the document is to be generated.

Siemens manuals are generally available in 10 languages. Please
ensure that the content you have created to be included in your
manual is in the correct language.
