This instrument has been built and tested according to the German safety regulations for electronic test instruments, and left the factory in a technically and operationally perfect condition. In order to maintain this condition and guarantee safe operation the user must observe the references and warning statements . Before switching on the instrument, check that the mains voltage selected matches the mains supply voltage. ‘The proper function and operational safety of this instrumer only ifthe climatic conditions specified in the Technical Spe in this manual are adhered to. are guaranteed fications Opening of the instrument, adjustment, maintenance, repair and exchange of parts should only be carried out only by authorized personnel or by WTW. The instrument no longer confirms to the safety regulations and a dangerous ‘operation can be assumed when the instrument. ~ has been visually damaged = no longer functions = was stored for a long period under unsuitable conditions ~ was subjected to bad transport conditions. Take sensor out of OxiCal®-Auto - ready to measure Hint: After starting automatic calibrations are performed as long as the sensor remains in the OxiCal®-Auto. For better control of the slope (preparation of the sensor) the first 20 calibrations are performed in intervals of 1 minute; then in intervals of 30 minutes. Display 100 %-saturation corresponds to an oxygen share of the air of 20,95 % Hint for calibration: The diffusion of the oxygen through the sensor membrane in liquid media (water) doesn't have the same behaviour as in gaseous media (air). This is respected during the calibration: That is why that all ‘OxiCal-calibration procedures (sensor in air calibrates for measurement in water) use a temperature dependent saturation value of >101 %; for measurement and calibration in the same media the calibration procedure "Cal" (adjustment to 100 %) should be selected 17 Calibration against a known (titrated) concentration value Adjustment via a relative solubility factor (for all solutions) no conforming ‘temperature correction; so measurement is allowed at calibration temperature in solutions of same compound only.
