B. COST ESTIMATE GUIDE


Enumerated opposite each Account Code are the items that should be included under each heading.
Should there be items that are required but are not found hereunder, include them under “Others”, such
that all items of work, materials, plant, tools, equipment and labor shall be covered and included in the
Bid. The Contractor is responsible for completing the Project in accordance with the Plans,
Specifications and the other Bid Documents. Include this guide in the Bid Envelope.

Cost estimates shall cover only Phase 1 costs.

structural members, ties, accessories used in laying out
steel for footings, footing tie beams, beams, suspended
slabs, slabs on fill, stairs, ramps, gutters, parapets and

needed for placing concrete, all lean concrete, admixtures
for curing, water stops, dampproofing, waterproofing, used
in laying out steel for footings, footing tie beams, beams,

proofing 6mil thick laid below slab construction and

16. ELECTRICAL
a. Electrical Service Entrance Tap to existing main distribution / feeder line within the
UPRHS; Upgrade feeder line as necessary.
b. Cables, Wires, Race-ways & Conduits Includes I.M.C. and PVC conduits and fittings, all cables
and wires, risers, weather heads, and all accessories as
required.
c. Panel Board & Breakers Includes circuit breakers, panelboards, starters, grounding,
and accessories, for lighting and small appliance loads, air
conditioning equipment. Design should consider future
integration of emergency power generator and solar panel
system.
d. Boxes & Wire Devices Includes pull-boxes, junction boxes, convenience and
weatherproof outlets, switches, cover plates, other wiring
devices and accessories.
e. Lighting Fixtures & Accessories Includes All lighting fixtures, ballasts, housing, reflectors,
including supports and fasteners for mounting, such as
conduit drops.
f. CCTV, CATV and MATV Includes roughing-ins and outlets for CCTV, CATV, PA
System microphones.
Fixtures and Equipment such as speakers, mixers,
amplifiers, CCTV Camera and Monitoring server for later
phases., for later
g. VOICE AND DATA, LAN AND WIFI Contract includes roughing-ins / raceways and outlets for
Telephone System and ICT System only. Modular Jacks;

i. Fire Alarm System Includes Manual Bell and Pull Stations for Phase 1. The

Control Panel, conduits and wires, detectors, pull stations
and other wiring devices, hangers and supports; Fire
Extinguishers shall be Owner-furnished
A.2. MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION COSTS
a. Mobilization Includes moving cost, rentals, small tool purchases,
vehicle expense, fuel, oil and maintenance cost.

b. Demobilization Includes all costs for demobilization, dismantling of all


temporary facilities including all workmen’s houses and
removal of all construction equipment, tools, personnel
and debris out of the project site and/or University
premises. Includes general cleaning of building and site;
spic and span, ready for turnover and for use.

B. INDIRECT COSTS:
MARK-UP Includes overhead expenses, contractor’s profit,
unforeseen contingencies, miscellaneous expenses such
as Contactor’s all risk insurance and all other necessary
insurances as called for in this Contract and by the local
government unit and its agencies. contractor’s profit,
B.1 supervision, cost control, rentals, and home and field office
overhead such as office supplies, as-built drawings,
photographs, clean-up, phone, electricity, water &
laboratory testing during construction, systems, equipment
and manpower gears to ensure health & safety in
construction procedures, chargeable to the Project.
Includes:
a) 12 % VAT on Direct Costs and Contractor’s
Mark-up and
B.2 TAXES
b) Municipal Taxes, in accordance with the latest
issued Municipal Tax Table issued by the
Municipality of Los Baños.
