divergent thinking

It is that thought that elaborates criteria of

inventive originality and flexibility.
Through this creativity can be embodied in
invention, discoveries and techniques in the
ability to find new solutions by modifying the
everyday.

For example, a bottle of wine corked with a

cork is half full ¿What can we do to drink the
wine without corking or breaking the bottle?
it's very easy you must sink the cork from the
bottle.

Divergent thinking tends to occur

spontaneously and freely, So many ideas are
generated in a cognitive and emergent way.

Let's see another example.

A lady dropped the earring in the café, and
although the cup was full the earring did not get
wet ¿Why?

It’s very easy the cup was full of coffee beans.

Another example,

If you have a needle in a haystack ¿what would

you do to find the needle?

Divergent thinking´s people would say:

you just need to burn the straw to find the

needle

Psychologists have found that a high IQ does

not guarantee creativity. Instead, the
personality traits that divergent thinking
promotes are more important. Divergent
thinking is found among people with personality
traits such as: nonconformity, curiosity,
persistence and willingness to take risks
