IMPORTANT
Before using this doppler Unit, please study this manual carefully and familiarize yourself with the
controls, displays, features and operating techniques.

CAUTION
This product contains sensitive electronics, therefore Strong radio frequency fields could possibly
interfere with it. This will be indicated by Unusual sounds from the loudspeaker. We recommend that the
source of interference is identified and eliminated.

Safety Clinical tests and further research have shown no ill effects resulting from
exposure of ultrasound. This Doppler uses very low power ultrasound. While very
safe it is nevertheless considered prudent to avoid long term continuous
exposure to diagnostic ultrasound.
this doppler is a screening tool to aid the healthcare professional and should NOT be
used in place of other fetal assessment methods. If there is doubt as to fetal
well-being after using the unit, further investigations should be undertaken immediately using
alternative techniques.

IMPORTANT---READ THIS SECTION BEFORE USING YOUR this doppler

This doppler includes a fetal heart rate display as found in conventional fetal monitors. Fetal
monitors are used antenatally to assess fetal health in selected pregnancies ONLY after 25/26
weeks.
Similarly this doppler rate display should only be used antenatally at 25 weeks or more. This
feature should not be used to replace conventional fetal monitoring.
While the rate display of this Doppler remains active the signal from very small fetal hearts
cannot be relied upon to obtain an accurate fetal heart rate display.
Rate information which may be displayed at an early gestational age is of uncertain clinical
significance and should not be relied upon.
Refer to the Safety section of this manual for further advice on the use of this Doppler.
