Me as an admiring Nurse Informaticist

Nursing is one of the topmost chosen careers in all of the countries. As a graduate of
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. You need to choose a distinct specialization such as
Infection Control Nursing, Informatics Nursing, Military, and Uniformed Service Nursing
and 100+ specialization out there. In the Nursing profession, one of the top paid specialized
jobs in nursing is the Nurse informaticist with an average salary of  $97,000 - $100,000
annually (HIMSS 2014). The job of nurse informaticists would be to translate nursing
practice information between nurses and systems engineers, analysts, or designers using
object-oriented models or other techniques.

Nursing informatics is a very distinct field and it is very different from the typical
bedside care that is usually done by a nurse. It is a collaboration between nursing healthcare
processes with the technology. The work of the nurse informaticist job is more on behind the
scene patient care than the usual direct patient care alone. In other terms, nurse informatics
can do more jobs more efficiently and quickly because of fast-growing technologies rather
the ordinary specialized nurse.

Nursing informatics is defined as the specialty that integrates the science of nursing
with multiple information management and analytical sciences. Its goal is to identify, define,
manage and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom within nursing
practice, according to the American Nursing Association. For nurses seeking a different
career path or wanting to specialize and have an interest in the field of information
technology, health informatics is a path to consider. To all nurses who excel in technology
like me, I would love to refer to this career of nursing informatics may be a good fit and it’s
very easy to adapt. Nursing is a very wide profession, don’t stop on finding a distinct
specialization that would fit your standards.
