3.5 Recruitment and Training Process

Assuming the job analysis and job description are ready, an

organization may decide to look at internal candidates’ qualifications first.

Internal candidates are people who are already working for the company.

If an internal candidate meets the qualifications, this person might be

encouraged to apply for the job, the applicant managed under constraining

circumstances such as a short deadline or a low number of applications.

In addition, establishing a protocol for how applications and résumés will

be processed will save time later. Once these tasks are accomplished, the

hope is that you will have a diverse group of people to interview (called the

selection process). Before this is done, though, it is important to have

information to ensure the right people are recruited. This is where the job

analysis and job description come in. The job analysis is a formal system

developed to determine what tasks people actually perform in their jobs.

TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF THE PHILIPPINES 26
SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

The purpose of a job analysis is to ensure creation of the right fit between

the job and the employee and to determine how employee performance

will be assessed. A major part of the job analysis includes research, which

may mean reviewing job responsibilities of current employees,

researching job descriptions for similar jobs with competitors, and

analyzing any new responsibilities that need to be accomplished by the

person with the position. Once you have decided if a competency-based

or task-based analysis is more appropriate for the job, you can prepare to

write the job analysis. Most organizations use questionnaires (online or

hard copy) to determine the duties of each job title. Some organizations

will use face-to-face interviews to perform this task, depending on time

constraints and the size of the organization. Notice how the job description

includes the job function; knowledge, skills, and abilities required to do the

job; education and experience required; and the physical requirements of

the job. Once the job description has been written, obtaining approval from

the hiring manager is the next step. Then the HR professional can begin to

recruit for the position.

The reason why the main building located near Manila bay is because it

will be much easier to test the effectiveness of the apple peelings teabag

Logo

The logo represents the whole Clean Crystal Clear Company. First

is the red color that represents the apple. This company wouldn’t be

possible without the apple for it is the main product of the CCC Company.

Second is the teabag shape. It gives a huge impact to the product

because it is where the apple peelings will be placed. Next is the Gold cup.

It symbolizes that health is wealth. With clean water, it will lessen the risk

of diseases in a neighborhood. Lastly is the blue color which could be

interpreted as water. It symbolizes the topmost goal of the company. It is

to have clean and clear water.

Tag Line

“An apple teabag a day keeps waste water away.” The tag line the

company created for the product is a memorable phrase that will surely

leave an impact among the customers. The basis of our tag line is the

famous slogan, “An apple a day keeps the doctors away.”, an aphorism

that was based on a proverb in Pembrokeshire, an original form with a

different rhyme, “Eat an apple going to bed and you’ll keep the doctor from

earning his bread,”. It is a simple yet unforgettable phrase that left an

TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF THE PHILIPPINES 56

impression on people so we decided to use that as basis for our own tag

line which not only is easy to understand but also contains what the

company’s product is all about.

Branding Strategy

ENVIRONMENTAL. Clean Crystal Clear Company’s branding

strategy appeals mainly on being environmental. The approach the

company wants to achieve by using such branding strategy is to create a

product with sole primary purpose of betterment of the environment. Not

environment such as using natural ingredients. The advantages of this

branding strategy is that the company will be able to create a great image

that sets the business apart from its competitors on the market resulting to

attracting customers since they have a feeling that an environmental-

friendly business is trustworthy. Not only does this kind of branding

strategy has advantages, it also has disadvantages such as the increase

of the price of the product due to using green materials which costs more,

as well as complex business models since the company has to take

consideration on balancing the factors such as profit. In the end, the

TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF THE PHILIPPINES 57

activities along the rivers.

Rivers are important part of human lives. It is a source of drinking water

for many towns and cities. The water is purified first before it reaches to

our tap. However, if our rivers remain polluted, the water can’t be purified

to the extent that it won’t be suitable for human consumption anymore.

Less trash increase recreational activities along rivers— clean and safe
