    Q.1 (a). Explain the functions of authentication and encryption in Global System for Mobile
    Communication (GSM).

    Q.1 (b).

    Assume

    X=roll number=0+5+6=11

    B=batch =2020

    Consider a Transmitter which radiates a sinusoidal carrier frequency of “B” MHz. For a
    vehicle moving “X” Kmph. Evaluate the received carrier frequency if the mobile is moving
    (a) directly towards the transmitter, (b) directly away from the transmitter (c) in a direction
    which is perpendicular to the direction of arrival of the transmitted signal.
