The class is divided into 6 groups. You can check the groupings and group members in the homework
link under the Group Works folder.

Type: Written report (typewritten/encoded).

Content: The report must answer the following questions:

1. What is Freight In?

2. Differentiate Freight In from Freight Out.
3. What is periodic inventory system? Explain its mechanics in accounting for merchandising
transactions.
4. How do you compute the cost of goods sold under periodic inventory system?

Format: No specific formatting requirement. Just make it concise and comprehensible to users. It can
be a strictly formal written output, or a creative one with diagrams and/or pictures.

Grading: Maximum of 20 points per group. This is part of your online participation and performance
tasks grading component. Only one grade is given to each group and this shall be applied to all the
members.

Criteria: Completeness (40%), Accuracy (40%), Presentation (20%).

under Group Works folder. Deadline is Sep. 20 (Sunday), 11:59PM.
