PATTERNS OF ATTRACTION GRAND HERO SUPERMARKET MOVEMENT

IN THE CITY OF PALU

Shopping center or supermarket is one of the uses of land use that can attract the movement of
visitors from various zones (trip attraction). Utilization of land use like this, can attract visitors and can
take place at any time with different goals and interests, such as visitors who want to shop or as
employees. Almost every time the movement of visitors at the center of the activity never subsided from
visitors who come and go with various types of modes of transportation.

This study aims to determine the characteristics of visitors and the pattern of attraction of
movement at the Grand Hero Supermarket in Palu City. The research was carried out at the Grand Hero
Supermarket in Palu City, in April. Data was collected by interview survey on 91 people and movement
pull survey.
 
From the results of the study, it is known that the largest movements came from Palu City and the
South Birobuli sub-district, South Palu sub-district, with the most gender dominated men, civil servant
workers and private employees, average income of 2.5 - 5 million per month, visitors to destinations
shopping, and four-wheeled vehicle modes (cars).
