Lexy Lag Endurance is tricky because it involves efficiency. If you don't play efficiently, you won't have great endurance. If you press against your face in an undue manner all the time, you won't have great endurance or a pro-level high register. You have to find that point where you are playing with the best possible sound using the least amount of pressure. Experimentation in this regard is a good thing. I've had a lot of time to think about this in the last year and have seen a lot of students with this problem. As soon as they figure out how to replace pressure with wind they are MUCH happier. Don't be afraid to rest. The god of practice will not smite you if you take a break just before you go to failure. Arnold Jacobs gave me some sage advice:
