About Company:
LG Electronics is a Korea based multinational company principally
engaged in the manufacturing and sales of electronic products. It comprises four
business units: Home Entertainment, Mobile Communications, Home Appliances
& Air Solutions and Vehicle Components.
LG’s vision is to become a worldwide leader in digital appliances that
ensures customer satisfaction through innovative products and superior services.

Project Title:
Assessment of channel performance by analyzing the issues faced and
providing suggestions for improving channel effectiveness for some product
categories of LG Electronics Limited

Scope of the Project:


 The study aims to measure satisfaction level of the dealers regarding LG
Electronics Limited’s distribution system
 Find dealers opinion on various issues pertaining to the present market
situation in the distribution system
 Recommendations to strengthen the channel effectiveness

Methodology:
Primary research: In view of the objectives of the study, an exploratory
design will be adopted. Exploratory research is the one which largely interprets
the available information on the study, and it lays emphasis on the analysis and
interpretation of the existing and available information.
Secondary research: We plan to conduct secondary research with channel
partners via online surveys and focus interviews with dealers in cities like Trichy,
Kolkata, Gurgaon, Jaipur via phone calls.

By doing this, we will evaluate the effectiveness of the current distribution


channels and study the pain points associated with them and provide our
suggestions and recommendations based on them.
