Parts of the Module
 Learning Outcomes: Clear description of what learners are expected to do, know and value at
the end of the topic.
 Core Values/Biblical Principles: Biblical principles, Scriptures, WUP core values of character,
service and scholarship are integrated through examples and real-life stories of people and
events throughout history.
 Learning Activities & Resources: Link to videos, articles, journals, podcast, and educational
websites and activities to enrich learning.
 Introduction: Introduces the topic through a narrative, story, or illustration. It places the topic
into context. It provides background information
 Body: Presents concepts, theories, framework, and procedures. The content logically progresses
throughout the module. The content is linked to other disciplines – their application and
interrelationship with other disciplines (Ex. Math as applied in Engineering, Science, Business;
History – significant periods and its impact to society, development and technology like
Industrial Revolution or Enlightenment when Science, literature, Math and Art flourished.)
 *Life application: It includes real-life and relevant examples, cases and scenario. Examples are
relevant and anchored on actual/common experiences in the field or discipline. This can be
incorporated in the Introduction and Body of the module.
 Summary/Conclusion. Summary of key concepts, final remarks, and insights about the topic
 References: References and citations are clearly stated, following APA format.

Things to Remember
 Content is aligned with Learning Outcomes: Clear description of behavior and content; indicate
category and priority levels; coherent.
 Teaching Strategies: Appropriate strategies were used in presenting content that are
appropriate for the topic (narratives, illustrations, charts, tables, graphs) and age of learners.
 Lay-out and Multi-media: Design layout is effective and student-friendly (e.g., text and images
do not overlap, font is readable, effective balance of white space and content, images, or text).
Images, audio, or videos are of good quality (e.g., focus, lighting, and background).
 Engagement: Multiple engagement elements are used (e.g., relevant use of images, narration,
storytelling, examples, and emotional impact.)
 *Assessment is aligned with Learning Outcomes: Assessment tools will gather evidence if
learning outcomes are accomplished. This will be uploaded in the Quiz or Assignment section of
Canvas.
For courses with standard textbooks issued to all students, there is no need to re-type the body of
the content in the modules. The modules that teachers will upload will be supplement to standard
textbooks. The module will have the following: Learning Outcomes, Resources, Activities (to do at
home to enrich their learning) and Integration of Core values/Biblical Principles and Life application
to the intro and body, and a conclusion/short summary of key concepts. Cite references, if you used
resources aside from the standard issued textbook.
