The recipe of Turon

Kamote Turon

INGREDIENTS

❖ 1kg Sweet potatoes

❖ ¼ brown sugar

❖ 1 can Condensed milk

❖ 1 pack lumpia wrapper

❖ ¼ Cooking oil

PROCEDURE

Step. 1

Wash 1 kg of Sweet potatoes (Kamote) and boil in a pot of water until soft. Let
it cool a bit. Peel and mash sweet potatoes with fork or a masher in the mixing
bowl.

Step. 2

Add 2-3 tbsp. Condense milk adjust sweetness according to your preference.
Place 1 tablespoon of the mixture on the lumpia wrapper and fold both sides of
the lumpia wrapper and roll, dab edges of wrapper with water and roll to seal.
Yields: 15 pieces or more.

Step. 3

Preheat first and fry the kamote turon in a heated oil. Turn kamote turon to fry it
evenly and sprinkle 3-4 tbsp. Brown sugar Mix until the sugar melts and the
caramelized sugar is sticking to the turon. And (AVOID OVER COOKED).
