The unprecedented happenings this year brought a halt to many plans, activities,

and events. As a Sillimanian, the month of August would be the most sought out
time as Hibalag commences. The process of planning events, building booths,
securing permits—the hustle and bustle of Founders’—is a very tiring process but
one which I miss too. I really look forward to meeting alumni, and catch up with
friends from different departments as we get more free time during the Founders’
celebration. Although it’s technically impossible to have the Founders’ celebration
during a pandemic, I am still happy that the students found initiatives and
alternatives to honoring the Silliman spirit.
