GROUP REPORT: “COMPETITOR IN THE NEWS – EXECUTIVE BRIEFING” This is a group report with 4-5

students per group.

In this project, the objective is to find a company in the news facing a “Marketing to Businesses” issue.
The intent is to write an executive briefing note, similar to the real-world situation, when a competitor is
doing something noteworthy.

The report should describe a marketing challenge facing a competitor (like mini-case study) and analyse
the issue to provide recommendations.

The intent is to focus primarily on analysing the company’s marketing issues and the associated
implications.

Recommendations will be “what you think the subject competitor should do”. Recommendations can be
brief since your information will be limited. Further details will be distributed.
