The second term English Exam

Malala Yousafzai is a 16 years old Pakistani girl who supported children’s rights
for education and school in Pakistan. Malala almost died as result of her ideas
when a group of Taliban terrorists tried to kill her in her local town in 2010.
She is narrating that tragic day to a BBC journalist:

Journalist: what was the moment you were most afraid?

Malala: I was feeling afraid all the time. At night, when I was about to sleep, I was thinking! “Should I put an arm
under my bed?”
Journalist: The day you were attacked, do you remember anything about that day at all?"
Malala: I remember a lot about the morning of this day on the school bus with my friends, we were singing, and I
noticed that the streets were very silent. I don't remember what happened next, but my friends have told me how
the terrorists stopped the bus and asked, 'who is Malala?' And then shot me in my head three times.
Journalist: And what happened then?
Malala: After having some treatment at a local hospital, I was transported to England for other treatment, I woke
up there 10 days later; the doctors told me that people around the world were praying for me. I was so thankful to
God that I survived.

On October, 10th, 2014, Malala was named as the winner of 2014 Nobel Prize of peace for her struggle for
children’s right for education and a better life.
