m/Objective/Mission:To provide music

education and craftsmanship to all, especially
the poor and needy. To create a platform for
better music education in the country.

ctivities: Education,Health Society

Aim/Objective/Mission: 1. Creating
awareness in society for individuals to realize
and maintain the true values of humanity.

2. Examining individuals suffering from health

related issues and conducting workshops
treating them.

3. Improvise the quality of education and

impart it to the less fortunate strata in

4. To reach out to young school or college

going students yearly, sensitizing them
towards being socially responsible, through
custom designed activity modules.
There is an actor, artist, dancer, singer,
musician, dramatist, painter in every rural
place. But what has made them to be
unseen? What has made them to forget what
are they good at? What has made them just
dream but illiterate to make it true? When
‘Papillon Foundation’ attempted to get these
questions answered, we could realize that it is
the economic and social status of their
families which has stopped them from being
what they are ought to. The artistic talents of
rural kids are invaded may be due to; The
tremendous pressure by parents to give
importance towards academics.

Discouragement by families due to financial

status. Non awareness among kids, teachers
(Schools) and their parents about the career
in various fields of art. The non availability
and accessibility to art education. Non
guarantee of the long term guidance on art
education. Non availability of professional
institutions unlike any other urban city
(Bangalore & Mysore) The research, analysis
and deep understanding of the problem have
influenced Papillon Foundation to design
exclusive programs that focus on promoting
art education in Rural Karnataka.

ims: To provide education to devadasi
children
Update on the work the organisation did for
the devadasi children given below:
An educational centre for devadasi children
There is a need for an educational center
for children living in pampanagar area. This
place is in Taverekere village of Kustagi taluk,
Koppal district in North Karnataka.
A main road divides Taverekere village,
on one side is Pampanagara where devadasis
and low caste community live. They are a
community by themselves having their own
well and drinking water supply. On the other
side of the road the caste people live who do
not mingle with Pampanagara people whom
they consider as untouchables
Samuha had a children's centre at
Pampanagara. Bhoodevi a Lingayat girl from
the caste community was their teacher
appointed by Samuha. Bhoodevi took training
in teaching from me along with Shikshakra
Samuha group of student teachers at
Markalavara doddi in Deodurg taluk. I had
visited her centre twice mainly to superwise
her teaching. Since observing her teaching
was my concern I didn't pay much attention
to the children's background.
Three years ago, I got a chance to
have a closer contact with these children and
came to know more about their background.
This is how it happened. On request from
Samuha, I took up the training of 80 I.C.D.S.
Anganwadi workers from 80 villages where
Samuha had its developmental programs
Along with a team of two Shikshakra
Samuha student teachers I conducted this

KEY FOUNDATION organises communities of the poor and
needy to take a leading role in the initiatives for safe and
secure self-employment, housing and infrastructure. The
idea is that only when very large numbers of the poor are
networked as an organised collective with clear strategies
and goals, their demands are taken seriously, heard and
implemented in the country. The Foundation membership
expands with the fulfillment of demand and its
implementation, within a country and across countries,
therefore we represent hundreds of thousands of
households. Mainly, for the poor and unemployed needy,
rather than the middle or educated class who have their
own means and method of fulfilling their demands, to
actually spearhead the process of change and
development for self employment, better shelter and
education for Poverty Alleviation, much time, funds and
effort would be invested in building organisational,
financial, managerial and negotiation skills and capacities
of communities as well as their leadership. The idea of the
foundation is that communities and their leadership must
begin by getting together, building their assets, searching
for land, doing their homework and preparing for
managing their small business, self-employment,
education, housing and infrastructure, the Aim of the
Foundation is to undertake/assist the poor to begin in
exploring possible solutions, test out various options and
to see themselves as important agents of change, be a

ISKCON Food Relief Foundation is a non-profit, non-

religious, non-sectarian charitable trust. The purpose of
Annamrita is to liberate children from the cycle of
Illiteracy and Hunger by serving Mid-day meals to
underprivileged children in municipality & government
schools across India. This program is a strategic project of
the Government of India and is being implemented by
ISKCON Food Relief Foundation (IFRF) under the brand
name of Annamrita in select schools across Delhi,
Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya
Pradesh, Jharkhand, Haryana and West Bengal. This
project will benefit all students at large without any
discrimination on grounds of religion, caste, creed or sex.
Since the launch in 2004, we have set up 20 state-of-the-
art kitchens in the above mentioned states, most of which
are ISO 22000:2005 certified.

As of now, we serve over 12 lakh meals to children every

day from our various centers across India. Most of these
children come from slums and tribal areas. The purpose of
implementing the scheme is to facilitate the Government
in increasing the enrollment in these schools, reducing the
dropout rate, improving the attendance & providing
nutrition in these formative years for kids. Cooked in the
most efficient and hygienic manner, this nutritious,
sumptuous and sanctified meal consists of different
menus such as khichdi, chapatti subji, rice sambar etc.
according to local tastes. Annamrita aims to reach out to
at least 20 lakh kids by 2020; the cost of sponsoring two
children’s meal for the year is just Rs 900/-. It costs less
than your average meal in a restaurant to make sure 2
children get a nutritious meal EVERYDAY and can stay in
school and complete their Education.
