The boon ses ieore 2 box type design and are actuated hydraulically. Arn joints with an optimum operating range together with @ powerful siyiag. gear with big slewing range provide ideal flexibility. The Support legs either to be telescoped or swung out are equipped with sunhy hydraulical support cylinders which provide the necessary stability. Delivery, line: The boon can be equipped alternatively with a deliv= ery line dia.100m, cia. 120mm, dia. 125mm or dia. 150 mm dependin on the boom design. As the basic dimensions of the elbows and the flange on couplings As identical, delivery lines with different diameters are inter: Shangeable at any tine provided this is in accordance with statics cnd atability. The delivery line consists of standard 90 degree Elbows and straight pipes and is easy to exchange. Standard PM clamp couplings serve as pivots and connect the pipe sections. The pipe elbow joint at the end of the boom reduces wear on the hose ING Perves to break the concrete fall. Due to its layer of steel ar sees ctthe piecing hose is suitable for operating pressures of up to 85 bar Hydraulic control: 011 hydraulic contro! of 211 boon movements. A weety valve mounted directly on the arm cylinders serves 65 & protective device in case of hose ruptures oF overloading. The Support cylinders are equipped with an integrated controlled check supee which serves as safety valve. The speed is matched precisely wey Gnables several cylinders to be actuated simu taneously. Work with pumps and placing booms is subject to the specific regulations of the country and/or the responsible employers'lability insurance company and the operating and maintenance regulations of the manufacturer. 22. Pumps and placing booms may only be used as intended by their manufacturer and described in his instruction manual. PM does not assume any responsibilty for damage resulting from improper use, e.g. whenmachineisnot fully supported. Thisinstruction manual must always be readily available or reference when using and operating the machine 3. Alidevices torsafety andprevention of accidents as informative and warning notices, cover grids, metal guards, must be available. They Must not be removed or altered. Fig, 002. DANGER OF ACCIDENTS: ‘During operation of the machine, it is not allowed to remove any protective devices (e.g. water box covering) or to adjust any safely installations (e.g. limit switch or mechanical satety device or switching off the grid) out of operation. Never work without the hopper grill being fully secured. Fig, 003. 4. Tho placing booms together with their deivery lines as well as the concrete pumps have to be inspected when necessary according to the operational conditions and working situations, but al least once @ year by a qualified person This test has to be arranged by the operator. The results of the testing have to be written down in the enclosed check book and have to be shown on request, In case of defects at parts impairing the working safety, the machine may nolbe operated untilthese defects are recified. Theirrectiioation has tobe controlled by a second checking, Provided that the inspector ‘Goes not discover any satety related faults, atest sticker, Fig. 294, will be affixed to the swivel head next to the rating plate ‘Checking and check book are obligatory in the Federal Republic of Germany. Please observe the regulations of the country in which the machine is going to be put into operation. However, we suggest to ‘check the machine at least once a year. TROUBLE SHOOTING 2.1 DESCRIPTION OF SYSTEM(PUNP) pM purps are driven by either Diesel engines or electric motors. The output can be regulated from minimum to maximum as required. Electro-hydraulic, automatic control is standard. The material to be conveyed is sucked in directly from the hopper 1 by the delivery piston 7 as it runs backwards, thus filling the delivery cylinder 6. The machine switches over at the end of the stroke. The transfer tube 2 swings over in front of the filled delivery cylinder 6. At the same time, the delivery piston 7 changes direction and pushes the material via the transfer tube 2 and pressure pipe resp. pressure connection 3 into the delivery line 4. The delivery pistons 7 are connected hydraulically with one another via the drive cylinders 5. They operate with ‘push-pull’ action, jie. one piston 7 sucks in the material to be conveyed while the other pushes the material. The material conveyed can be sucked back through the delivery Tine & by reversing the working direction of the delivery pistons 7 in the | middle of a stroke, without the transfer tube 2 switching over (reverse control). The material sucked back out of the delivery Vine 4 is conveyed into the hopper 1 by the suction/pressure operation of the pistons. e ¢ THE CONCRETE PLAGIN “ yorkING, AREA OF guns, AREA OF FEE jng positions shown in the diagram must be qaintained during Pure (see marked area). to work outside this aree with the poom 1S ited to damage the griver's cad and the rest of the ferake care not gnguvated,, Maince?? safe clearance yock oF 529 low for boom Sway s ot electrically ord apparatus. * This boom 1st pjectrica? wiring ie points marked with a must be lubricated with a multi-purpose e(do not use Molykote grease). grease passes with difficulties at the A-joint, lift the boom to a fal position and start to swivel when greasing. ts of system - Hydraulic installation Concrete placing boom when (without of] tank). approx. 80.1 approx. 801 approx. 190 7 approx. 250 1 approx. 250 | ==xz= BR RRs M26 R M28 M32R dn H¥319 | snoTtva-¥ UalvM adv | Lis au aes 1 dWid i Pe df 033dS dWfd 1uvis | WO 5 eh i | WMOO dWfd MOTS we 6 df WO08 wee Woe 4 + 08 dOls L 4.25 Visual fault messages via indicator lamps on concrete pump Wiring circuit A: Radio remote contro! ring circuit B: Cable remote control 1. Both factors, sively influence the concrete output. (smaller portion of sand, crushed material), the filing rate of the ety cylinders become less advantageous resulting in less concre- ethroughput. In this case, a reduction of the delivery speed can ively influence the filing rate When concrete is being conveyed which has bad pumping proper: the agitator shait should be visible all the time. Untavourable le (extremely siilf, undersanded mixes, lightweight concrete jean be conveyed easier if the hopper is fled only up to the lower ‘of the agitator shalt - Fig. 044. When ‘onveyingbeains again, leave the pump switched to reverse pumping nti the transter tube switches completely into end position on both sides. Only then switei to forward pumping. ClRGDPEF 9102 7. Air pockets in the delivery line can be dangerous as the compras- ‘cod air ig released abruptly at the end of the delivery line and the ‘concrete is thrown out in an explosive manner. Air pockets cocur in paticular when starting to pump when aris drawn into hopper which hasn't enough concrete, or when the delivery line is extended. 8. During the pumping of low-viscosity conerete, the damping valve must be closed (‘snail symbol") since the transter tube will otherwise ‘operate too abruptly. With high viscosity concrete or in cases where the transtor tube does not reach its end position, the damping valve should be opened (-hare” symbol): the action of the medium is then damped, Fig. 298. If this insituctions is not followed the service life of the concrete vaive will be reduced. cxPGaorEr Indications for pumping (machine dependent) e maximum drive speed of diesel engines must not under any ances be exceeded, since this will cause excessive speed of stydraulic pump.
