Throughout the year, our staff participate in a variety of professional development activities that encourage the development of appropriate and engaging instruction, critical thinking, and effective assessment. These skills are applied in all subject areas leading to a well-rounded and balanced education for all our students. ‘At Reeds Road, we recognize that children’s social and emotional development play a critical role in academic growth. Our staff looks to teach, model, and reward positive behaviors through our B.A.R.K program. B.A.R.K. stands for: Best effort Always Cooperate Respect Kindness Matters In addition to B.A.R.K., we have several other programs including Bully Busting, Second Step, and Peer Mediators that support social and emotional learning. These programs are implemented through the classroom as well as our school guidance counselor and district mental health specialists. The goal of these programs is to foster a positive learning environment for all students. ‘While the 2020-2021 school year may look different than other years, we can assure that our dedication to the children and families at Reeds Road has remained constant.
