I cant make these HBAs do anything. I cant get them to generate heavy load to my
server. Problem was 64 disks in R6 are saturated, cant do more than 3000 rnd
writes.

The GUI greys out queue depth setting. Kevin T says I can change that on the CLI.
Turns out according to the doc the defaults are the max anyway:

This is linear step 1 into 5 LUNs with IOMeter, start at queue3 go to queue 10 per
HBA. Pink line is IOPS, white is response time. Was unable to get more IO out the
server to the array. The array WCP looks idle, no pressure at all. Array has 64 10K
SAS spindles behind it, and 4GB of cache.
I cant get the throughput I expect.

Will switch back to Emulex cards. See if testing works better.


Upon removing BRCD cards and reinserting Emulex, I cant get the Emulex to see
disk.
 Tried uninstalling the BRCD software. – This fixed the problem.
