INSTRUCTIONS
01. DATE OF THE WRITTEN TEST: March 15, 2020
02. VENUE: The Written Test will be conducted only at the following places.
(i) Baba Ghulam Shah Badsha University campus Rajouri (The specific venue, with in the campus, will be mentioned
on the admit cards).
(ii) Humanities Block and Education Block, University of Kashmir, Srinagar (The specific block, among these two
blocks, will be mentioned on the admit cards).
We expect the candidates from Kashmir Valley to appear at SRINAGAR centre (University of Kashmir) for the
written test. However, candidates who belong to Kashmir valley and want to appear at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University
campus Rajouri for the written test, are strictly advised to inform Dr. Zaheer Abbas(Coordinator) about their choice of the
centre at the following contact numbers. (i) Mobile: 9419277404, 7889473046 (ii) Email: zam@bgsbu.ac.in
While passing information about the choice of the centre, candidates are required to tell their roll numbers and
name of the department in which they have applied.
03. ADMIT CARDS: Candidates who have applied OFFLINE are advised to collect their ADMIT CARDS from the respective
Departments on or before March 13, 2020 and those who have applied ONLINE can download their admit cards from the University
website after March 09, 2020. However, if any candidate fails to get his / her ADMIT CARD, he/ she can collect the same from the
Examination venue at 09: 00 am on March 15
07. There shall be 70 objective type questions (four choices in each case), each carrying one mark.
10. Only blue / black ball point pen is permitted for filling up the options in the response sheets.
11. The date of the declaration of the result of the Written test will be notified later.
12. The Written Test will be followed by compulsory Viva – Voce and Presentation, that will be conducted in the in the respective
Departments of the university(BGSBU Rajouri). The date for conducting Viva – Voce and Presentation will be notified later and only those
candidates will be called for the viva – voce and presentation, who will score 50 percent or more in the Written Test or those who are
exempted from the Written Test as detailed in Para 15 below..
13. The power point presentation, to be made by the candidates, should be of 10 minutes duration and should be based on a topic in which
a particular candidate wants to pursue research .
14. The PPT based presentation and Viva – voce will be of 15 marks each.
15. Candidates who hold NET, SLET, GATE, TEACHER FELLOWSHIP or M. Phil degree are exempted from appearing in the
Entrance test and will be awarded 35 marks (out of 70) in lieu of the written test. However, such candidates also have the option to appear
in the Written Test and will be awarded either the marks obtained by them in the Written Test or 35 marks, whichever is higher.
