Area & Perimeter
Create a yard for the dog on the grid paper. The yard can not be the size of the entire grid.
1st - cut out the dog, dog house, bone and dog bowl.
2nd - place items on the grid paper - remember to leave some space between the objects
**DO NOT** glue them down
3rd – once you have what you think is the best set-up, draw a fence to create the dog’s yard
- the yard needs to include all four objects and have some space for the dog to run and play
-use straight lines to create the yard
4th – find the area and perimeter of the yard
5th- now you may glue down the objects and add color
Bonus: Are there any extra features you could add to the dog’s yard
- be sure to label any extra features you add
