V. A. Introduction

I will introduce the lesson by asking the students to tell me who is running for president this
year.

I will also ask them to tell me if they already have their mind made up of who they are
supporting this year, although I will not ask them to share their answer.

B. Lesson Development (Activities, Procedures)

1. I will introduce the lesson by asking the students to tell me who is running for president
this year.
2. I will also ask them to tell me if they already have their mind made up of who they are
supporting this year, although I will not ask them to share their answer.
3. I will then have them log on to the Isidewith website and will have them use the class
period to answer the questions and figure out which candidate they side with.
4. I will explain to them that they can hit the drop down arrows to answer more questions
about a topic, and I would advise them to do so in order to get a more accurate result.
5. I will also explain to them that the website has a feature which allows the student to read
background info on the issue if they are unfamiliar with it.
6. I will spend the rest of the class period on the Google Meet in case the students have
questions or need help.
7. The students will have to post which candidate they side with and the percentage of
issues that they agree with that candidate on the Schoology discussion board as a way
of me knowing that they completed the quiz.

C. Evidence of Differentiated Instruction (Content, process, Products, or

Learning Environment)

Content- The content will not be differentiated as all students will be taking the same quiz.

Process- The process will be differentiated because students will have the option to answer
fewer amounts of questions. Answering more questions on the quiz will be optional, but will
be recommended for a more accurate result.

Products- The products will not be differentiated as all students will be getting the same
results back from their quiz.

Learning Environment-Online through Schoology, Google Meet, and the Isidewith website.

D. Closure (Summary)

I will close the lesson by having the students submit their results on the Schoology discussion
board as a way of checking that they actually completed the assignment.

VI. Assessment/Evaluation

The students will be assessed informally based on their participation in the lesson. There will be
no right or wrong answers, so as long as they complete the assignment, they will receive full
credit.

VII. Modifications and/or Accommodations

For this lesson, students who feel the need to answer a reduced number of questions for
whatever reason may do so. The site only requires the quiz taker to answer three questions
about each topic, but there is an option for an expanded list of questions that students may
complete to get a more accurate result.

VIII. Self-Evaluation
