 GENERAL BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Walter White (“Walter Senior”
“Walter”), aged 42 years is a brilliant
chemistry teacher who teaches at Los Pollos
Hermanos High School, a public school in
Hermanos, Swamania. He wanted to be a
scientist, but ended up being a teacher
owing to his love for teaching. He is married
to Skyler White, aged 41 years, who is an
accountant. They got married in the year
1997, and have one son, named Walter
White Junior. Married for 22 years now,
they are a very happy couple.
Hermanos is a small city which is
developing at a slow rate. The quality of
education is poor with only one school in
the city. However, Felina is a developed
metropolitan and greater opportunities.
Teachers usually move from Hermanos to
Felina, another city in Swamania, in search
of better job opportunities and quality of
life. Walter is a very humble man, who has
dedicated his entire life to teaching. He was
born and brought up in the city of
Hermanos. He wants to contribute to the
society by helping the students
Hermanos. In the past, he has helped under
privileged children and has received many
awards from the Government of Hermanos
for his noble work.
Skyler, on the other hand, wants to live a
luxurious life and has never really enjoyed
living in Hermanos. She always wanted to

or live in a big city where she would get the
lifestyle she wanted. She has a good job in
Hermanos, and remains occupied with it.
She has always wanted to work in one of the
Big Four Accountancy firms. However,
despite being one of the best accountants in
Hermanos, she hasn’t been able to secure a
job there.
Walter Senior lives with his parents in
Hermanos. He shares a deep connection
with them. They have supported Walter
throughout his life. They also helped Walter
in his battle against cancer. Walter Junior,
aged 17 years, is a very smart student, and
aspires to be a lawyer someday. He has
always dreamt of going to Pinkman School
of Law and hopes to start his preparation
for law entrance exams soon.
Skyler has been working very hard for the
past few years and has been promoted
several times. Cali Cartel Ltd, is one of the
Big Four Firms based in Phoenix, Felina.
Phoenix is the capital of Felina. Through
one of her clients, Skyler got to know that
in
Cali Cartel Ltd has a vacancy. She decided to
try her luck one more time and succeeded at
getting a job there. However, she is in fix as
the firm is in Phoenix and her husband isn’t
entirely in favour of moving out of
Hermanos. Skyler feels that her family
should shift to Phoenix. She feels that after
working so hard and making so many
compromises throughout her life, she
deserves to have the option of moving out
of Hermanos and living a life she loves. She
sees her dream of leading a luxurious life in
a beautiful coastal city like Phoenix falling
apart.
This situation of tension caused constant
quarrels and exchange of harsh words
between the couple. They started ignoring
each other. This affected Walter Junior too
as he cannot choose between his parents.
Skylar insists that Walter can get a good
teaching job in Phoenix. The city has many
good schools and abundant opportunities.
Further, Phoenix also has good coaching
centres for law entrance exams.
over this. However, neither is ready to
budge from their positions. Hank Schrader,
Skyler’s brother, approached the couple and
suggested that talking with a mediator might
help them resolve this conflict and arrive at
a mutually agreeable solution. The couple
has agreed to be part of a mediation session
in Hermanos.
Walter is representing his own interests is
accompanied by his legal counsel Mr. Saul
Goodman. Skyler is representing her own
interests and is accompanied by her legal
counsel.

Walter Senior, on the other hand, is strictly

against the idea of moving. He knows his
parents will never want to move out of
Hermanos and he doesn’t want to force
them out of Hermanos, especially at their
age. Also, he is against the idea of moving
out and deserting his parents. Walter feels
he will betray the society he grew up in, if he
moves out to the big cities like everyone
else. He needs to be in Hermanos and serve
the city and its people.

Neither Walter Senior, nor Skyler are happy

with the current situation. There is a conflict
of interest. They do not want to live away
from each other or endanger the love and
respect they have for each other by arguing
