Step 1: Begin writing

Step 2: Finish writing

Step 3: Go through the nouns - gender, plural or singular, definite or indefinite?

Step 4: Go through the adjectives – do they agree with the nouns?

Step 5: Go through the possessive pronouns – do they agree with the nouns?

Step 6: Go through the verbs – pay special attention to “før nutid/datid” – “infinitiv/nutid”

Step 7: Identify every single clause – where is the verbal phrase? Where is the subject? And where would
you place a comma?

Step 8: Is the clause a subordinate or a main clause. Mark it..

Step 9: If you are using a central adverbial – where is it?

Step 10: Check for inversion. Anything in the front of the main clause?

Step 11: Do it again!
