One hot day, a thirsty crow flies all over
the fields to look for water. For a long
time , he cannot find any water. Suddenly
he sees a water jug below the tree. He
flows down and looks into the jug. He can
see some water inside the jug! “How
lucky I am! Now I can have a drink of
water!” The crow tries to put his head into
it. Sadly, he finds that the neck of the jug
is too narrow.
“What should I do? I am really thirsty.
How do I drink water?” He desperately
looks around and sees some pebbles.
He suddenly has a good idea. He picks up
the pebbles one by one, and drops each
into the jug. Soon the water level is high
and the crow can drink the water. His plan works!
“Caw, caw!” Crow says. “I did it! I am so glad I found a way to get the water.”
He drinks some water, flaps her wings and flies away. She isn’t thirsty any longer.
