VOLATILITY INDICES TRADING: RISK AND

MONEY MANAGEMENT
IS VOLATILITY INDICES RISKY TO TRADE?
The short answer is Yes.

Just like the Forex and stock market, trading generally involves a high level of risk and if you
can't accept the fact that you might lose few trades, depending on your trading strategy, then
I recommend you don't trade a penny. Even normal businesses have their own risks and
companies lose money also.

So, what are we afraid of as a trader?

No strategy is 100% accurate, even a 99% profitable strategy has a 1% chance of losing and
when this happens, it can cause drastic damage to your trading capital if your money/risk
management is faulty.

Don’t act invisible when you trade. Don’t be cocky. Don’t think you can never lose a trade.
When you start implementing this strategy to trade indices, there are times you will have
more than 20 consecutive winnings and then you might feel using a stop loss is irrelevant
since the price always turn in your favor.

Mehn, from experience, you won’t like the outcome!

Don’t trade like a gambler, this is a business. Don’t try to get rich quick. You will get rich
trading, but you need time to grow your account safely. If you want to start making $10,000
daily, make sure you fund your account appropriately ($100,000 will do just fine).

Always know the amount you are risking before entering a trade. Always make sure your
reward is higher than your risk.

NOTE: We trade Volatility 75 Index most of the time. All the information provided is based on
Volatility 75 Index trading. You can apply our strategy to other indices too.

HOW MUCH CAN I USE TO START TRADING INDICES SAFELY?

You need a minimum of $100 (USD) to start trading the minimum lot size on Volatility 75
Index. Follow the table below to determine the lot size that is appropriate for your trading
capital:

If you follow this guide, you will not easily blow your trading account. You will have
opportunities to resurrect after consecutive losing trades (If it occurs).

Make sure you use stop loss and set a reasonable target price before looking away from your
chart. There are times the price might want to retest its takeoff zone, so setting your stop loss
to avoid false trigger is important.

HOW TO CALCULATE TRADE SIZES OF VOLATILITY 75 INDEX

Here, trade sizes are represented in points and these can easily be converted to pips. The
typical representation of price on Volatility 75 Index is xxxxx.xxxx, examples are; 150037.8493,
192384.3234, 839281.1384, etc.

The table below shows how Volatility 75 Index points are converted to pips:

Simply divide the result of the difference between two points by 10.

Example:

You placed a BUY trade on Volatility 75 Index at 148355.7426

148355.7426 and

the points.

149991.6490 - 148355.7426 = 1635.9064

Now that you have gotten the difference in points, you can go ahead to covert it to pips by
dividing it by 10.

will have to multiply the number of pips (163.59)
(163 .59) by the value of the lot size ($10).

163.59 * 10 = $1635.9

you trade because it will help you trade professionally by calculation stop losses and target
prices.
