International Open Access Week - 2018

Theme: - Designing Equitable Foundations for Open Knowledge

School of Library and Information Science (SLIS), Central University of Gujarat has been
started celebrating the International OAW celebration from 2017. For the continues, SLIS
would like to celebrate the International Open Access Week – 2018 during October last
week (Final dates to be decided) with various presentations and activities. Brief, tentative
agenda of the SLIS International OAW 2018 celebration given below: -

Objectives: -

 To create an awareness on the Open Access Week (OAW) to the CUG university
community
 To create an awareness on the open access publishing and resources


Target Group

 Students, research scholars and faculty member of the Central University of Gujarat
(CUG)

Programme

 Inauguration of the International OAW 2018 celebration

 Presentations by outside or internal subject experts/faculties
 Poster presentations on OAW
 OAW Pamphlet, banners in the major places notice around 29 and 30 sector
 Bookmark & flyers distribution

Activities on OA

 Various competitions and activities will be conducted among the students and
researchers of CUG (List of activities will be decided)
