ATHEISM
Atheism is simply a rejection of the assertion that there are gods. It is not an affirmative belief that there is no god
nor does it answer any other question about what a person believes
- Atheist organizations are starting to do better at helping people (not bad people, sometimes they are the one
who really do good things
- self-esteem & self-reliance (do not expect a deity to help them solve a problem, they will address it personally
and directly. The increased self-reliance can have a positive effect on their own lives, but also on the lives of
others.
- peacefulness (Atheists do not start wars or commit acts of terrorism for religious reasons, just to prove their
deity is the correct one.

SECULARISM
Secularism is the separation of state and religion.
-No religion gets support from the Government. (Sense of powerlessness in religious institutions which had
historically maintained control over governance for centuries.
- people might be less motivated to lead a 'good life' (Religious people becoming concerned about the
moral compass of the nation. Bc government is separated they can do whatever they want
- rising of many religions (Increasing religiosity among the masses in a secular country can give rise to
movements that try to topple a secular government.
DIVORCE
the process of terminating a marriage. It can be referred to as dissolution of marriage and is basically,
the legal action that ends the marriage before the death of either spouse.
- strain your relationship with god (god witness, not a game
- health implications (adults can suffer a negative psychological balance, including high levels of anxiety,
unhappiness and depression.
- negative impact it will have on children( A child of divorce may develop commitment issues and doubt
his ability to marry. Some may also suffer depression because of the break-up of their family.
PRE MARITAL SEX
Premarital sex is a sexual activity practiced by people before they get married.
-it breaks God’s laws and dishonors Him (god made sex which makes it sacred. You can only have sex after
marriage
-It presents huge physical risk (hiv/ aids)
-- It presents huge emotional risk (teenagers who are engage in pre marital sex though that having sexual
intercourse will make their partner stay with them forever. And if they break up or didn’t up together they are in
emotional risk of losing their virginity to the wrong person.

ABORTION
the ending of a pregnancy by removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus before it can survive outside the uterus
-Abortion is murder (The killing of an innocent human being is wrong, even if that human being has yet
to be born. Unborn babies are considered human beings
-Life begins at conception (this individual has a fundamental right to life, which must be protected.

- Abortions cause psychological damage (young adult women who undergo... abortion may be at
increased risk for subsequent depression. more likely to commit suicide than women who carried to
term
PRO CHOICE OR PRO LIFE
proposed by the Roman Catholic Church proposed by the Roman Catholic Church. People who are "pro-
choice" believe that individuals have unlimited autonomy with respect to their own reproductive
systems
-less concerned with the life of women
-*abortion points
