    • Risk Priority Number is the product of
    Severity (S), Occurrence (O) and Detection
    (D) ranking
    • This is a measure of design risk
    • This value should be used to rank order the
    concerns in design (Pareto)
    • RPN will be between 1 and 1000
    • In general, regardless of RPN, special
    attention when Severity is high
