For the company, a number of factors are expected to negatively impact the results for the six months
ending 30th September 2020. These include the impact from barring customers in accordance with the
requirements of the Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority, as well as the effects of the COVID-19
pandemic on the economy and our business. Given these factors, and following a detailed financial and
operating review, the Board expects that the company’s results for the six months ending 30th September
2020 will be impacted. Further, it is expected that operating profit for the six months ending 30th September
2020 will be at least 25% lower than the operating profit of TZS 75.5 billion reported for the prior year
corresponding six month period.
The company expects to publish its interim results for the six month ending 30th September 2020 by no later
than 13th November 2020.
Shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities on the DSE until such
time that the interim results for the six months ending 30th September 2020 are released.
The financial information on which this cautionary statement is based has not been reviewed by the
company’s auditors.
