The danger in the shift to traditional to industrial is things that we consider as luxury are becoming a
necessity. Give the top 5 things that you consider nowadays as a necessity that people in the past
consider it as luxury.
1. Medicine- like tablets, capsule and etc. because before their medicine are leaves but today’s
generation they are more likely to have a formula medicine.
2. Gas stove- before they using woods to prepare or cook their food but now we are using gas
stove to coke because it is easy to set a fire than the wood.
3. Electric Fan- it can give you air and freshen you up when the weather is hot.
4. Transportation- like bicycle, cars, motorcycle and etc. it can help us to reach our destination like
school, malls, other place and etc.
5. Household Appliances- like cooking pan, refrigerator and etc, the appliances that can function
like cooking, preservation of food, exercising and etc.

ACTIVITY 3
Aside from the mentioned devices above, provide 3 more input and output devices that you are using
and explain their functions.
1. Input Devices
a. Camera- with a small hole that allow light in to capture an image on a light-sensitive
surface. It can capture your important memories.
b. Gamepad- a type of game controller held in two hands, where the fingers are used to
provide input. They are typically the main input device for video game consoles.
c. Microphone- captures audio by converting sound waves into an electrical signal. This
signal can be amplified as an analog signal or may be converted to a digital signal, which
can be processed by a computer or other digital audio device.
2. Output Device
a. Monitor- display information in graphic form that is more useful for users
understanding.
b. Headphone- allow you to listen to audio or watch a movie without disturbing people
around you.
c. Speaker- to produce audio output that can be heard by the listener. Speakers are
transducers that convert electromagnetic waves into sound waves.
