1. Write down 5 short quotations about Art.

 Art is a therapy
 Art is a harmony parallel with nature
 Art is a creativity
 Art must be life; everyone belongs to it.
 An artist cannot fail, it is success to be one.

2. Enumerate 5 important elements of art and briefly state each the function of each.
 Line – allows the artist to create pattern and movement.
 Shape – help to create drawings and paintings.
 Color – enhance our artworks in which it gives effect on the viewer. It also used for
decorative to create mood
 Shape – Shows the quality in a work of art. Like things are rough but it’s actually smooth.
 Space – It’s the distance for interpreting an artwork.

 Dry Media
 Synthetic Media
 Liquid/Wet Media

4. The 3 major classification of Painting.

 Drawing – charcoal, chalk, crayon, pastel, pencil, or pen and ink.
 Painting – oils, watercolor, gouache, acrylics, ink and wash, tempera, or encaustic
paints.
 Printmaking – woodcuts, stencils, engraving, etching and lithography, or screen-printing,
foil imaging, or giclee prints.
