COUNTER - AFFIDAVIT

I, RONALD GALANG, of legal age, Filipino citizen, single and

resident of Barrio Talaan, Lian, Batangas after having been sworn to in
accordance with law, depose and say, that:

1. I am the respondent in the case of Rape filed against me by JULIA

TORRES;

2. I am vehemently denying the accusations hurled against me and

there is no truth to the veracity of her statements. What we have
during the night of June 12 was a consensual sex because she freely
agreed to make love with me;

3. The truth of the matter is that, Julia and I had been sweethearts for
over two months before June 12;

4. On that evening we met by prior agreement at Celia’s house to

attend the wedding party. Things started out well and I had some
fun meeting my friends. But, because of their jokes that I had some
other girl, Julia became angry and refused to talk to me. When the
party ended, I walked alongside Julia and tried to explain the jokes
by my friends;

5. Julia, however, did not want to believe me at first. After a while, I

convinced her to sit with me on a piece of log near at the house of
Mr. Mario Perez. The evening was so romantic and we eventually
reconciled. We kissed and embraced and, forgetting ourselves, we
made love on the grass. Thereafter, I walked her up to her house;

6. On the following day, Julia called me and she insisted that I marry
her because she was afraid that she might have become pregnant;

7. I declined because I had to look after my parents and I told her to

wait a while. Julia became angry and threatened me that she will
complain to her parents that I raped her. But still I refused to marry
her right away;

8. I am also attaching the affidavit of Mr. Mario Perez as Annex “A”;

 9. I have done no criminal act; and

10. I execute this affidavit to attest to the truth thereof and to seek for
the dismissal of this case.
