Description : One of the Signature Dish in the Philippines, which is loved by many, Philippine Adobo
involves meat marinated in vinegar, soy sauce and garlic. It has been unofficially considered the
national dish in the Philippines.

Ingredients:
 1  lb  chicken  cut into serving pieces
 1 lb pork cut into serving pieces
 3 pieces  dried bay leaves
 8 tablespoons  soy sauce
 4 tablespoons  white vinegar (healthy option is to use Apple Cider Vinegar)
 4 cloves  garlic  crushed
 1 1/2 cups water
 1 tablespoon  cooking oil
 1 teaspoon  sugar
 1/4  teaspoon salt optional
 1 teaspoon   whole peppercorn
 Dried Crushed Garlic Flakes
 1 cup of steamed rice

Instructions
1. Put in a large bowl chicken, pork, soy sauce and garlic. Marinate the chicken and pork for at
least 1 hour.
2. Heat a cooking pot. Pour cooking oil.
3. Wait for the oil to get hot enough, fry the marinated chicken and pork for 2 minutes per
side.
4. Pour-in the marinade including garlic. Add water. Bring to a boil
5. Add bay leaves and peppercorn.
6. Simmer for 40 minutes or until the chicken and pork gets tender
7. Add vinegar. Stir and cook for 12 minutes.
8. Put in the sugar and salt then stir
9. Place on top of the steamed rice. Sprinkle dried crushed garlic flakes on top.

Tips
1. The longer time to marinade the chicken and pork, the better
