Preface

These release notes provide information about extensions, modifications and bug fixes that
have been implemented in the current software version of SeeMyENC since its previous
release.
The current version 2.2.0 was released in June 2019.

1 Introduction
SeeMyENC is a simple but effective S-57 chart viewer. It reads all existing S-57 based products:
ENC, IENC, AML, PENC, and bENC/bIENC data either in the S-57 format or the SevenCs SENC
format.
You can zoom, pan and select different symbology & colours, present a pick report, and
analyze the data by evaluating the logfile which is generated during the import of an S-57 file.

2 General
2.1 How to Install
The default installation path is C:\Program Files\ENC_Tools\SeeMyENC. It is not
required to de-install previous software versions. To install the new software please run the
installation script (seemyenc-2.2.0.x-32bit.msi) and follow the instructions on the
screen.

2.2 Supported Operating Systems

SeeMyENC can be operated under Windows 7 (32bit/64bit), Windows 8 (32bit/64bit), and
Windows 10.

2.3 Installation Path

The installation script will suggest the following default installation path:
C:\Program Files\ENC_Tools\SeeMyENC (32 bit system) or
C:\Program Files (x86)\ENC_Tools\SeeMyENC (64 bit system).
However, you are free to install the software under any other directory.

2.4 Example Data

SeeMyENC comes with a small sample dataset. It comprises ENC 7C4BD004.7CB and bENC
7CB4BATH.7CB. During installation the example data will be stored in:
C:\ProgramData\SevenCs\SeeMyENC\examples.

The current version of SeeMyENC was released in June 2019.

3.1 New Features

SeeMyENC includes the following new features:

3.1.1 Support of 7Cs Analyzer log files

SeeMyENC can be used to review validation log files that have been created by SevenCs new
chart validation software 7Cs Analyzer.

3.1.2 Updated Presentation Libraries

Support of IHO S-52 Presentation Library 4.0.2 for ENCs and support of AML3 Presentation
Library 2.0 was implemented.

3.2 Bug Fixes

The following bugs have been fixed:

3.2.1 Web-Help issues

The Web-Help could not be used in Google Chrome Web Browser. In Mozilla Firefox the table
of content was not shown. Both issues were fixed.

3.2.2 Log file - text got cut off

SeeMyENC didn’t show text sequences correctly if they exceeded a particular length. In this
version text wrap works properly.

3.2.3 Crash on object selection

Under certain conditions SeeMyENC crashed when an object was selected from the item list
in the browser panel.
