Completing the topic form In the topic phase of the exam, you will talk for approximately five minutes on a topic that you choose and prepare. Pick something that you find interesting and not too difficult to talk about. Fill out the form with your topic and the five main points you will talk about. Grammar range and giving reasons In the exam, you need to demonstrate that you can use grammar structures like adjectives and adverbials of quantity, e.g. a lot (of), not very much, many and expressions of preference, e.g. I prefer, I'd rather. You also have to show you can give reasons for your opinion. If you prepare possible questions for each topic, you can practise using appropriate grammar correctly and then you will answer questions more fully and naturally in the exam.
