9. (a) (i) It accelerates from t = 0 to t = 6 s.

(ii) It moves at uniform velocity from t = 0 to t = 2 s. It is at rest from t = 2 s

to t = 5 s. It moves at a higher velocity from t = 5 s to t = 6 s.
(iii) It decelerates from t = 0 to t = 3. At 3 s, it is at rest. From t = 3 s to t
= 6 s, it moves backwards speeding up.
(iv) From t = 0 to t = 4 s, it has a backward uniform motion. From t = 4 s to t = 6
s, it continues the motion with the same velocity.

(b) (i) 20 m
(ii) 5 m
(iii) 0
(iv) -5-12 = -17m

(c) (i) 3.33

(ii) 0.833
(iii) 0
(iv) -2.83

10. (a) (i) From 0-3s, it moves with uniform acceleration from rest. From 3-6s, it
decelerates uniformly until rest.
(ii) From 0-1s, it moves with uniform acceleration from rest. From 1-3s, it moves
at uniform velocity. From 3-6s, it accelerates uniformly at a lower value.
