PROINERT PRESSURE GAUGE INSTALLATION

Fike is issuing this bulletin as a reminder of the proper way to install a ProInert pressure gauge. This procedure
applies to both 200 bar and 300 bar systems. It is quite simple and involves the following steps:

1) Carefully screw the pressure gauge into the pressure gauge port, being careful not to cross the threads.

2) Continue screwing the gauge in until it bottoms out into the port as shown in Figure 1. Do not screw past the
point of bottoming out.

3) To achieve proper orientation of the gauge for visual monitoring, unscrew the gauge a maximum of one
revolution.

Over tightening the gauge or loosening it more than the allowable one revolution can result in a leak and give a false
indication of the cylinder pressure.
