Climate Data

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration


(PAGASA) the climate of the Philippines is tropical and maritime. It is characterized by relatively high
temperature, high humidity and abundant rainfall.

Using the temperature and rainfall as bases, the climate of the country can be divided into two major
seasons: (1) the rainy season, from June to November and (2) the dry season, from December to May.
The dry season may be subdivided further into (a) the cool dry season, from December to February; and

Temperature

In Makati City, May is the warmest month of the year, with an average of 29.2 ℃ and January being the
coldest month with an average temperature of 25.5 ℃.

Rainfall

Rainfall is the most important climatic element in the Philippines. Rainfall distribution throughout the

The solid line in the graph below illustrates the average rainfall in Makati City throughout the year. The
most rain falls during the 31-day period rain accumulation centered around August 6 with an average
total of 12.7 inches and with the least rain falls around March 20 with an average total of 1.4 inches.

Humidity

Due to high temperature and surrounding bodies of water, the Philippines has a high relative humidity.
The average monthly relative humidity in the Philippines varies between 71% in March and 85% in

depending on the humidity comfort levels. The levels are measured whether it is humid, muggy,
oppressive or miserable. It is perceived that in Makati City, it stays within 4% of 96% throughout the

Road Features

The map below shows that Barangay Pitogo, Makati City is bounded by two major thoroughfares,
Kalayaan Avenue on the northwest and 32 nd Street on the south. The site for the proposed project is
located in the south east area of Barangay Pitogo, where it can be accessed through a minor route, Rizal
Drive.
